Christmas at Longwood Gardens

Thousands of poinsettias, Christmas trees and flowers transform the heated four-acre Conservatory at Longwood Gardens into a winter wonderland during the popular A Longwood Christmas. Outdoors, 500,000 lights glitter in trees; a whimsical train races around its railway; a shimmering tunnel emits light; and spectacular fountains and fire pit flames dance to seasonal music. Timed tickets are required, so plan ahead!

Cut Your Own Trees at Linvilla Orchards

Linvilla Orchards’ 40,000 holiday trees are looking for a home! Venture out to the popular Delaware County attraction and hop on a wagon ride to cut-your-own Douglas or Canaan fir. The team at Linvilla provides the saw (phew!), and will even wrap and tie the tree to your car. Hint: Timed tickets are required for 2020.

Holiday Light Show at Shady Brook Farm

This Bucks County farm kicks off its 3-million-light Holiday Light Show with Dashin’ Through the … Lights (Thursday and Friday), a family-friendly two-miler (timed tickets required this year) through the attraction. The main display opens to the public on Saturday, when visitors drive or, if weather permits, ride in wagons past after-dark displays: illuminated tunnels and just about every imaginable Christmas icon rendered in tiny bulbs. (Timed tickets required.) Guests can also do some holiday shopping in the market and purchase their Christmas tree.

Wild Lights at Elmwood Park Zoo

Elmwood Park Zoo adds even more to the millions of LED lights that illuminate its 16 acres over the holidays during Wild Lights, lighting up on Friday. Visitors can take a stroll through the Oh Christmas Tree display, where they’ll be surrounded by a glistening forest, or visit the big cats in Trail of the Jumping Jaguar. Each night of the festival features live entertainment, animal encounters, holiday music and a chance to see Santa himself.

Holidays in the Village at Peddler’s Village

With more than 60 specialty shops perfect for holiday shopping, Peddler’s Village’s charm and beautiful, festive decorations help ring in the season — as do the attraction’s 1 million twinkling lights, set to cover the spot’s buildings and trees beginning on Thursday. Also at Peddler’s this year: The Gingerbread Competition & Display returns with more than 70 creative entries, and families can participate in Elf on the Stealth, an outdoor walking tour where visitors join Mrs. Clause in search of a missing elf.
